Wow, I had forgotten about this one (going back through my favs). A friend of mine of this on her arm shortly after it was first up. That was around seven years ago. Time sure flies.

This is beautiful. Have you ever done a rose in this fashion?

I only really ever used this style once because somebody wanted a tattoo design years ago, I didn't like it particularly, but for some reason that particular design has always gathered more interest than my other more detailed pieces. Perhaps I should construct other objects in the swirly style.

Thank you so much :) :)

You should. ^^ I find it interesting and you can be more detailed like making images within the image. :D

Thank you for the motivation. The weird thing is, I've no idea what it is about Swirly Fish that seems to make it work. If I could inject that serum into a different design, then perhaps I could create a series of designs using the same pattern.

What do you think? :)

I think that would be wonderful if I'm understanding you correctly.
Just remember that the patterns have to have an ease to them like this one does. And that it's a random design with movement pattern. Lol I don't think it can be wrong. I look forward to seeing the new stuff! :eager:

Swirly Fish was a lucky accident in its creation. I rarely produce this sort of imagery, and when I created Swirly Fish, I had no idea it would be so appealing on Deviant Art. I just did it as a commission back in 2001, posted it here on DA in 2006 and since then it has become my most popular piece in terms of faves by a landslide.

Anytime you want a dragon designed, just ask, if you don't mind waiting I can certainly knock something up for you. Your talents are quite supreme, and I would take pride in producing a design to a standard worthy of yourself.

First of all, thank you for your kind words on my artwork. I just do the best I can do, and people seem to like it (most of the time). :D

I don't mind waiting. I know everyone is busy. I have always wanted to throw a dragon tatt on my shoulderblade, however, I have never found the right one. I am looking for a tribal design, people have told me to design one myself, however, I am not a tattoo artist, and those type of designs escape me.

I am a Dragon, I was born in the year of the dragon (chinese calander), and several other things which surround me point towards "dragonism" so, ya, if you could (in your spare time) throw me together a tribal dragon design I would be honored. Drop me a note and tell me what the charge will be. :)

The only payment I ask my friend is that you add me to your friend list. And a gentle push if I fall behind.

This picture has been favoured more than any of my other submissions. These sorts of design are very popular here on Deviant Art it seems.

As for it being taken further and used as part of a ceramic in a faraway land. It feels wonderful.

Thank you kindly sir.

Thanks. Usually when I do designs for folk, I have to alter or redo the original ideas. This was the first image of two, which was imediately snapped up. Easy work. Thanks very much.
