Swirly Fish by Fladam Swirly Fish by Fladam
A swirling pattern that makes up a fish. A tattoo design for a client. Completed 28/7/01

To see how this design has been brilliantly implemented into another work of art by the phenomenally talented :iconshaxpi:, follow this [link]

EDIT April 2nd 2010

This image was just placed in a news feature by :iconryannworld:

Thanks and Big love.

Wow, I had forgotten about this one (going back through my favs). A friend of mine of this on her arm shortly after it was first up. That was around seven years ago. Time sure flies.

This is beautiful. Have you ever done a rose in this fashion?

I only really ever used this style once because somebody wanted a tattoo design years ago, I didn't like it particularly, but for some reason that particular design has always gathered more interest than my other more detailed pieces. Perhaps I should construct other objects in the swirly style.

Thank you so much :) :)

You should. ^^ I find it interesting and you can be more detailed like making images within the image. :D

Thank you for the motivation. The weird thing is, I've no idea what it is about Swirly Fish that seems to make it work. If I could inject that serum into a different design, then perhaps I could create a series of designs using the same pattern.

What do you think? :)

I think that would be wonderful if I'm understanding you correctly.
Just remember that the patterns have to have an ease to them like this one does. And that it's a random design with movement pattern. Lol I don't think it can be wrong. I look forward to seeing the new stuff! :eager:
