This was an Image and Observation uni project I have just finished. It was based on a collection of photo images I had taken of kids and some adults performing impressive stunts on their skateboards and bikes. The point of the project was to present the data in an interesting way. I chose to display my findings in the form of a poster.
I would also like to thank Nial, the young fella who posed for the central part of the image. He was very patient as I moved him around, and shone bright lamps at him from various directions to get the correct lighting and shadows when I was taking his pic. Cheers mate.
This was A1 sized and rendered using a F, HB, 6B, 7B, 8B and putty rubber.
Fladam this is beautiful!!! I love the way you put it all together! It looks very pro and I bet the young man in the picture would love the way it turned out!!! good job!

I'm confused......... wait ......... maybe I'm not
Thank you Handie. I was thinking of putting it up as a for sale print here on DA, but chickened out. It went down quite well at uni when I had to present it. It probably doesn't look enough like Nial though, the lad who was my model. Hope he isn't too critical when i show him.

Thanks very much Dan. You're very kind. At full size you can see more of the smudges and errors, so in this reduced state those mucky bits are all but gone.

I love work in graphite and extreme sports. Unfortunately, a bad accident put the stop on my own biking riding late last year.
I love how you divided up the composition and how several of the images seem to break free of the "framework" you included. Skating and BMXing are among the most free sports I've ever known (which is why the police tend to put a damper on them, no one deserves to have THAT much fun)!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
